parasitic*nebula Winter's Fury might be one of my favorite albums of the year, particularly the song Lashed by the Unforgiving Wind of Fate. Such a cold, beautiful song. Living near the 60th Parallel, it was not hard for me to find a "wintertime vista" as Ω suggested. I took an adirondack chair out into a snowy field surrounded by a pine forest and put on the first song and was literally in f*ing awe! This song played while out in the element, the snow falling, wind blowing through the trees- just surreal Favorite track: Lashed by the Unforgiving Winds of Fate.

December 21st, 2020:

The Winter Solstice began on this date here in the Northern Hemisphere. And, also, on this longest night of the year, our newest album titled Winter’s Fury was appropriately released.

I mentioned about a month ago that we had some extra rage burning bright for the remainder of this s-stained dumpster fire of a year and that the Thanksgiving holiday would be well spent conjuring up new material. True to the prediction, a conjuring of material did indeed manifest. Throughout late November and half of December, and with lots of 2020 rage still burning, more than we realized apparently, Winter’s Fury was born.

The album is comprised of two songs titled Lashed by the Unforgiving Winds of Fate and Snowfall Isolation and each with its own distinct icy flavor.

Lashed by the Unforgiving Winds of Fate is like the winter itself – long, cold, stark, unforgiving yet extraordinary beautiful at times.

Snowfall Isolation is a mostly ambient piece designed to take one on a solitary journey across long-forgotten landscapes of shimmering white unseen by no one’s eyes but your own. Only at the end is one treated by our nostalgic rendition of some very rare old-school Storm on the Abyss.

Winter’s Fury can, of course, be heard anytime of the year, but I personally find it most satisfying to listen to while meditating to either visions of, or physically present during, awe-inspiring wintertime vistas that flow deep with spirit and imagination. And if you can do neither, then gazing into the album cover should also be quite sufficient for the furious experience.

We sincerely hope that you enjoy listening to this as much as we enjoyed creating it. - Ω
